Lorine Franklin

July 5, 1934 — May 19, 2017

Love lives on as we celebrate the extraordinary life of Lorine Lucy Franklin.
She was born July 5, 1934 to the late Will T. Owens, II. and Lorine Lucy Owens of Dallas, TX. As a young child, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and served the church faithfully until her health begin to fail her. Even in her last days, she still prayed and gave God the glory and thanked him for her life and family. She was educated and retired from DISD. Lorine also attended Texas College for a time.
She met and married Milas Franklin, Jr. To this union two children were born, John Edward and Phyllis Marie. She was a faithful attender of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church and Agape Fisher of Men Ministries until her health no longer permitted her to gather with her church family. She was most happy when in the company of her children and grandchildren.
She was always willing to help friends and family with anything they needed. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
She was proceeded in death by both her parents, Will T. Owens, II and Lorine L. Owens, and her brother, Will T. Owens, III.
She leaves to cherish her life and memory, her husband Milas, son John (Gloria), daughter Phyllis (Stephen), granddaughters – Portia (Reuel) Harvey and April Franklin, sister Florell Thomas, special friend Sharon Walton, a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, church members, and friends.
