Loverlene Hinton Bradley was born June 10, 1918 to the union of the late Jessie Hinton and Nancy Timmons Hinton. She was the second of five children. She was affectionately known by some as ?Lovie? and to others as ?Sook?.
She attended public school in Cuney, Texas. After completing the eighth grade she moved to Palestine, Texas to begin her career. Later she relocated to Dallas, Texas. After more than forty years of dedicated service she retired.
Loverlene met Mr. Sammie Bradley and they were married on July 15, 1951. He preceded her in death. They had no children.
Jesus Christ was the Lord and Savior of her Life. Loverlene accepted Christ as a child. After moving to Dallas she united with Greater New Bethel Baptist Church. She was a member in good standing until her health failed.
Community was special to Loverlene. She was a block captain for the Owenwood Crimewatch Association and ?Grandma? to the children of Lakehill Preparatory Academy. She also went to the Brady Center on a regular basis for fun and fellowship.
Loverlene was a lady with many talents. She was a caterer, milliner, streamstress, antique collector, quilter and a master of crafts.
All of her siblings preceded her in death: Mary Rose Scott, Jessie Hinton, Maudane Hinton, and Grady Hinton.
Left to cherish her memories: two sisters-in-law (Alice Hinton and Marie Morris Hinton), five nieces, one nephew, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
