Lucy Gipson, aged 82, died peacefully on May 24, 2016 at Westlake Rehab & Nursing Center. Lucy was born July 11, 1933, in Pineville, Louisiana. Lucy thoroughly enjoyed bingo, watching the soap operas, Wheel of Fortune, and, Let’s Make a Deal, and Price is Right shows. She has been known to collect lots of new stuff and was Bingo Queen when it came to this game.
Lucy was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. Lucy is survived by her loving daughter, Janice Jones of Dallas, Texas; a grandson, Ronnie Jones of McKinney, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Doris William, Linda Henderson and Elsie Cornell of Louisiana; and 5 brothers , Dan Gray,Sr., Dewitt Quinney, Mchenry Quinney, Gaines Quinney, and Tommy Quinney; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Her Memorial Service will be held June 26, 2016 at Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church in Boyce, Louisiana at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church at 720 Mill Race Road - Boyce, Louisiana 71409. —–
