Lue Nell Griffin was born on May 30, 1918 to the parentage of the late Willie Adams and Emma L. Adams. Lue Nell Griffin was educated in Golden, Texas and graduated from Golden High School. She was married to the late Benjamin Griffin. To this union no children were born. She was also preceded in death by her brother Ewell Adams, two sisters Essie D. Green and Faye Caldwell.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Greater Progressive Baptist Church for 54 years until her health failed her. She was an active member in Sunday school, the Imperial Choir, the Mission chorus, the Esther Circle, and a Deaconess. She was a member of the Golden Girls and Golden Boys Club where in April 2006 she was elected as the Golden Girl Queen for the Greater Progressive Baptist Church. Her Crusader grand daughter was Eunette Johnson.
On April 9, 2014 at 11:45pm., Lue Nell was called home to be with The Lord. She leaves to cherish her memories two sisters Frances Smith and Annie Mae Adams of Dallas. Her spiritual son Rev. Floyd De Vine, Sr. Of Dallas, 6 nieces and 1 nephew, 52 great nieces and nephews, 78 great-great nieces and nephews, and 25 great-great-great nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
