Mae Simmons

Mae Pearl Simmons also lovingly known as ‘’Suga Baby’’ , passed away peacefully on October 8,

2021 in Dallas, Texas after reaching the age of 92 years old.

She was born on May 14, 1929 in Marshall, Texas a daughter of the late Pearl and Charlie Price.

Mae Pearl also attended Dallas Lincoln High School. She went on to continue a working career

at Fishburn Cleaners as a Press operator for (30+ years) were she retired, she later

became a licensed Barber at Graham barber shop.

A life-long Texas native, Mae Pearl was well-loved by many.

She accepted Christ at an early age, as a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.

Mae Pearl was preceded in death by, husband Melvin Simmons, Patsy Martin (daughter),

Rosaline ‘’RaRa’’ Rhone (granddaughter), Kendrick Rhone (great-grandson), Trevelle D. Johnson (great-great

grandson).

Mae Pearl greatest love was her family.

Mae Pearl was the proud mother to, Rosie Johnson, Patsy Martin (deceased) adopted her two

grandsons Reginald Simmons, Dekeetho Simmons and raised great-granddaughters Ashley

Simmons, and Andrea “Ann” Simmons (great-granddaughter).

Mae Pearl is survived by six grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, forty-six great-great

grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
