Margie Tinnard

May 5, 1926 — October 4, 2013

Margie Ree Scott entered this world on May 5, 1926 in Pilot Point, Texas to the parentage of Milton Scott and Opal Holley Scott, both of whom preceded her in death. She later moved to Lewisville, Texas and received her education in the Lewisville Public School District. At an early age, she joined Macedonia Baptist Church in Lewisville, Texas and gave her life to Christ.

She was united in holy matrimony to Zachariah (Z.T.) Tinnard on January 6, 1945 and to this union five children were born. After relocating to Dallas, Texas she joined the Grace Cathedral Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Rev. T.W. Johnson where she faithfully served and was an active member of the Mother's Board and Ephraim Tribe. She retired from the City of Dallas where she worked for many years. She was always reading her bible and will be remembered most as a great prayer warrior with a humble spirit who was a grandmother to "all"

She leaves to cherish her memory, five children: Joyce O. Wyatt (Jack), Minnie L. Tinnard (Johnnie), Zene Tyrone Tinnard (Gaye) all of Dallas, Texas , Vivian Gail Cook (Lawrence) of Desoto, Texas and Yolanda L. Hopkins (Edward) of Duncanville, Texas; her only sister, Alma Nelums of Dallas, Texas; one sister-in-law, Minnie Jean Simmons (Frank) of Dallas, Texas; 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; two God grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends. She will also be sorely missed by the Ledbetter Neighborhood.
