Marvin Carl Clanton was born in Antlers Oklahoma, on August 27 1935, to Earl, and Lillian Clanton. He was one of 11 children. Most of his younger years were spent with his family in and around the Oklahoma City area.
On October 20 1952, he enlisted in the US Navy and spent four years serving his country in and around the Mediterranean Sea, where he earned a Good Conduct Medal, European Occupation Service Medal, and National Defense Service Ribbon.
Marvin was Honorably Discharged from the Navy on August 21 1956, and married his loving wife Helen, the next day, on August 22 1956, in Arlington Virginia.
Marvin was preceded in death by his oldest child and daughter Diana Lee Clanton Lacy, and is survived by his loving wife Helen, two sons, Ronald Wayne Clanton, and Mark Alan Clanton, three grandsons, Nathan, Christopher, and Nicholas.
Marvin is loved by all of us and will be missed. Always and forever in our hearts.
