Mary Matilda Bradford passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012. Mary lived a long and fruitful life, born in Ridgely, Maryland on May 4, 1921, living most of her young adult life in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, subsequently retiring to Florida, Arlington and Dallas, Texas. She earned both her Bachelor and Masters of Arts degrees at Antioch University in Pennsylvania. She was employed for many years as the Director of Senior Wheels West and Senior Wheels East of the city of Philadelphia. She was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas and a former member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by sons, Allen Bradford and Carl Bradford; daughter, Shelly Bradford; daughters-in-law, Vadia Bradford and Antoinette Bradford; grandsons, Allen Bradford, Jr., Robert L. Smith; granddaughters, Adrian Shackleford, Alexis Bradford-Harris, Medina Pena, Tanisa Young, Nicole Bradford, Stasi Kirk, Michell Godbolt, Simone Jackson; 13 great grandchildren; one great grandchild and one great great grandchild as well as other extended family members and friends.
