Mary Ellen Butler was born on February 13, 1953, in Greenville Tx and raised in Rockwall Tx to the parentage Waper Lee Alexander and Battles, who precedes her in death along with her brother Arthur Lee Brown.

Mary Ellen was a member of Full Gospel Holly Church in Garland Tx. She was hardworking, maintained 2 jobs at all time as a bookkeeper for close to 50 years. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She meets no strangers. Had a bubbly personality and a heartwarming smile that seems to be contagious. Not only did she raised seven kids as a single parent, she also took in other family members and raised them as her own. She wasn’t a woman of many words but her lovingly energy transpired throughout the room. She spent most of her spare time with her grandkids.

She leaves to cherish her memories four, three sons: Tressa Butler (Jamal Freeman), Yolanda Butler, Natasha Luckey, Travis Butler Jr, Verne Butler, Marcus Butler, Corya Lang (Victor). One sister and three brothers Twenty-two grandkids, and seven great-grandkids.
