Mary “Punkin” Loveless was born December 28, 1931 in Coushatta, Louisiana, the last of five children born to Gussie and Hal McDuffy. She came to know the Lord at an early age in Bossier City, Louisiana. She wed Willie Loveless, Sr. in 1959 and they relocated to Dallas in the late 1960s. Punkin was a hard working woman. In addition to working as a cook, she worked as a homemaker through the Hope Cottage Adoption Agency. She was a warehouse worker for the retailer Jas. K. Wilson and an intake clerk at the Salvation Army on Inwood Road in Dallas. She was a member of Arlington Park Baptist Church until her peaceful death.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, siblings and three children. Left to cherish precious memories are her children, Deloris Gladney, Carol Harris (Wayne), Devorah Williams (Joe), Janet Ellis, Cynthia Loveless, Steven McDuffy, Joseph McDuffy, Willie Loveless, John Loveless and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and extended family.
