Michael is preceded in death by both parents, William Goodson and Alice Lewis; brother, Glenn Earl Goodson; both sets of grandparents, Reverend Virgil and Hazel Douglas, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Goodson, Sr.; aunts, Virgil Willis, Lorine Hill, Corine Hill, Bernice Antwine and Catherine Goodson; uncles, William (Bill) Douglas, Joe Frank Douglas, Joe Goodson, Jr. and Robert D. Goodson.
Michael never married but leaves behind to cherish his precious memory: Siblings, Barbara Chamberlain (Calvin), Patricia Woodard, David Herron, Jr., Victoria Atchison, Timothy Muhammad (Alicia), Linda Johnson, Derwin Douglas, Teresa Pierce, Charles Douglas (Jazimine) and Gwen Goodson (Joe); aunts, Ruby Hill and Betty Jean Childs; uncles, Eugene Douglas and Elder Howard Douglas; special niece, Tawanna Merchant (Julius) and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
