Mildred Thompson was born July, 1950 in Dallas County to Nelson and Pearlene Thompson, she attended James Madison High School and worked as a Logistics Analyst for Active Organics until her retirements.
Mildred was a dedicated member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church where she was passionate about serving the Lord, teaching Sunday School and helping others… she often enjoyed a good cup of coffee while reading her bible. Mildred embraced every moment with family but especially loved her role as “Granny” and “Gigi”.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents Nelson and Pearlene Thompson, (sister) Alma Carter, Falesta Garrett, Vernita Bumpers and (brother) Ricky Thompson.
Mildred leaves to cherish her memory 4 children: Don Hopkins (Angela), Terry Hopkins (Tamika), Derrick Hopkins and Terisa Jefferson (Walter), sister-Joyce Williams (Donnell) and brother- Freddie Thompson (Sherry) …12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Mildred departed this life to abide with her Heavenly Father in the comfort of her home surrounded by family and friends.
