Nettie Freeney

Mrs. Nettie A. (Cox) Freeney was born November 26, 1932 to the parentage of Mr. Lee Jefferson and Francis Cox in Nacogdoches, Texas. She attended school in Rusk County. She was an excellent student.
In June 1948, she was united in marriage to Mr. Chester Freeney. They were married 59 years and to this union 13 children were born.
Mrs. Freeney was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs Freeney raised the majority of her grandchildren. Mrs. Freeney attended West Mt. Horeb Baptist Church where she served in several auxiliaries. She also attended Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Mrs. Nettie Freeney was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Freeney; 1 daughter, Joan Britton; 3 sons, Ronnie, Timothy and Chester Freeney, Jr.
She is survived by 1 sister, Delphia Richards; 7 daughters, Emily Johnson, Vera Howell (George), Myrlin Freeney (Melvin), Patricia McNeal, Lora Freeney, Pamela Harper (Robert) and Sharon Freeney; 2 sons, Micheal and Lester Freeney all of Dallas, Texas; 51 grandchildren; 104 great grand children and 13 great great grandchildren. She will truly be missed.
