The Life Reflections of O C Chandler
O C Chandler was born February 20, 1935, in Rusk County Texas to the late L C Chandler and Gladys Willis. A middle child, but unlike many he never felt overshadowed. In fact, he grew up taking risks, working hard and ultimately being successful. He received his formal education in the Vernon and Dallas, County School Districts. His parents proceeded him in death.
O C loved the Lord and accepted the offer of salvation before his passing.
He held various jobs before being employed by the City of Dallas, Auto Body Shop and retired after more than, 40 years of service. O C was a cowboy, he had a great love for horses. After retirement, he spent the majority of his spare time caring for horses, roping steers and other animals. He traveled in Texas and Oklahoma, competing in rodeos, and spent countless hours, hanging out with dedicated cowboy friends. O C had a good heart, he believed in treating others the way he would want to be treated. His life was happy his life was full, and he was satisfied.
O C was proceeded in death by 6 brothers J W and Cleveland Chandler, Roy Lee, Nelson, Cloyce, and James Michael Session. He is survived by three sisters Tammy Chandler Major, K.K. Chandler Rettig, and Wilma Chandler Boyd. And two brothers Rudy Chandler of Houston, and R A Session of Dallas. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, and friends. His faithful goddaughter, Janet Henderson knew exactly what to say to keep a smile in his heart.
