Ollie Shofner

Ollie Lee Shofner Jr. was born July 14, 1954 to the parentage of Ollie Sr. and Jeraldine Shofner in Dallas, Tx. He was known and called “Butch” by his family and friends. He attended DISD schools and graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt Highschool. At an early age he attended Gethsemane Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. David Roberson in Joppa, Tx. Ollie worked at Craig’s Collision for 20years as an Auto Tech until his illness incapacitated him.

In 2005 he married Jeanetta Gross and to this union one son was born Darion Shofner. As a family they attended Cornerstone Baptist Church where he was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Christopher Simmons in Dallas, Tx.

Ollie is preceded in death by his parents Ollie Sr and Jeraldine Shofner. Brother: Terry Shofner, Sisters: Azzie Blair and Joyce Butler.

He leaves to cherish his memories, wife Jeanetta Shofner, Daughter Bridget Shofner, Son Darion Shofner, Step-son Quinton Gross, grandchildren Jamillia Lassister, Elexis Lassiter and Emery Mitchell. brothers Michael Shofner, Ronald Shofner(Charlotte) and Darrell Shofner. sisters, Diane Potts, Margaret Smith and Felisha Shofner. Uncles Elihu McGuire , Lawrence McGuire and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
