Othello Wyatt Winslett, an amazing twin was born on December 22,
1942 to Othello Wyatt Winslett, Sr. and Jeanette Johnson Winslett in
Oklahoma City, OK.
He graduated from Douglas high school and received a Certificate of
Accomplishment for Skill and Efficiency in the field of auto body
from Oklahoma State University, School of Technical Training at Okmukgee.
He accepted Christ as His Savior at an early age at The Church of the
Living God.
Othello?s love for music shined brightly as he played trumpet with
Larry Johnson and The New Breeds in 1967, O.V. Wright and
Johnnie Taylor.
He worked in housekeeping at Grace Living Center, where he retired
in 2009.
Othello leaves to cherish his memory: His sister, Mary Clay of San
Francisco, CA; daughters, Torrie Winslett (Charlotte Winslett) and
Nina Winslett; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to
Othello?s godmother, Ineta Lewis; best friends, Gary ?Sport? Hines,
Jimmie ?Baby Cakes? Smith and Nancy Johnson.
He is preceded in death by both parents and twin brother, Charles L.
Winslett.
