Rayland Seimone Lakes was born in Dallas, TX on August 31, 1974 to parents Billy Lakes and Zorina Carter-Bell.
Rayland accepted Christ at an early age. He spent much of his childhood with his beloved grandmother Dovada “Madea” Gipson and Bob Gipson in West Dallas. Rayland attended C. F. Carr Elementary and Kimball High School and graduated in June of 1993. He attended El Centro College pursuing a career as a Nurse Practitioner but later got into the oil field industry and the trucking industry. Through working and gaining experience with various trucking companies Rayland established his own business, Lakes Quality Transport.
Rayland is preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie & Betty Lakes, Dovada N. & Bob W. Gipson.
He leaves a living legacy within his children Devante Caesar, Tiandra Caesar and Davion Lakes born to mother Aretha Caesar, Taylor Lester born to mother Angela Lester, and Summer-Rae Lakes born to mother Crystal Hollins.
In addition to his children, he leaves a legacy of family to cherish his memories: father Billy R. Lakes, mother Zorina Bell, brothers; Bernard Higgins, Colin Evans, Roderick Hollie, Roy Bell Jr. and William G. Bell, sisters; Michelle and Tabitha Hollie, LaToya Booker, and Krystle Williams, uncles; Kevin Lakes, Lawrence Lakes, aunts; Doris Taylor-Jones and Marsha Gipson-Frazier, favorite cousin Eboney Robinson and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
