"A time to be born." - Ecclesiastes 3:2 Raymond George Foster was born on
March 19, 1937. He was born to late Roosevelt Marion Foster and Gertie Biggers Foster of Dallas, Texas. He attended Dallas Independent Schools and graduated from Lincoln High School. His parents taught him and instilled in him to love God and seek him to be the head of his life. He united his membership with True Lee Missionary Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park, Gaines Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church and later moved his membership to Rice Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church where he served on the Steward Board and e Voices of Praise Sanctuary Choir. His amazing love of music inspired him to sing with The Harmonizers and The Mellowtones. He later branched out and owned his own Record Shop for more than 20-years.
"Whatever you do, do it with all your heart." -Colossians 3:23a Following the work ethics instilled by his parents, Raymond managed and worked at Jacks Auto Supply for more than 44-years. Before entrepreneurship was "popular" he owned Foster Janitorial Services, LLC. Some of his favorite hobbies included gardening, playing dominos and "cutting a step" on the dance floor.
"A time to die." -Ecclesiastes 3:2 "One glad morning, when this life is over, I'll fly
away!" Raymond's earthly journey ended when the Lord of Lord's and King of King's
called him home on Thursday, January 29, 2015. Preceded him in death were his
parents-Roosevelt Marion Foster and Gertie Biggers Foster and brothers-Larry John,
Rev. Dr. Jessie Lee, Moses (Cokey) and sisters-Jearline and Carnell, one grandson-
Tyrone Demoin and son-Raymond, Jr.

Raymond leaves a legacy of wisdom, kindness and love for his family to cherish. To cherish his everlasting love and life, he leaves his loving wife of 50-years Gloria Brody
Foster, three devoted and wonderful children-Brian Keith, Michael and Sherry (Kevin).
And to treasure his memories are four loving children Trumila, Anita, Phil and Cheryl (Dan) whose mother is Alma Faye Foster. One son-Harold Wayne whose mother is
Sarah Hiner. To treasure his memories are his siblings--Margaret, Hazel, Roosevelt
(Hazel) and Robert (Alfreda). Remembering him as being the "Greatest Grandfather
Ever!" are fourteen grandchildren Desiree, Justin, Avanti, Miakeiya, Deja, Devan, Ki,
Josiah, JaKira, LaDasha, Dion, Kamen, Jalen and Mahli. He has five great grandchildren-Tyrone Jr., Shamon, TaVaughn, Justice and Aria. To always remember
his kind and gentle spirit are his bother-in-Iaws and sister-in-Iaws-Ida, Benny (Lionel),
Robert, Bernard (Elnora), Brice (Gloria), Richard, Paul (Sandra), Carrie (C.D.), Bobby
(Sharon), John (Gail), and Vanessa (Perry). Remembering him forever is his God-son-
Joel Foster, his nieces, nephews, relatives and neighbors; best close friends Dave
Sanders and Rev. Joe Johnson and Merlin Jones; and-his long time friends-Jim Hall
and Theolopus "Sunny" Bailey. .
