Remanther Odessa Evans Lang was born to Willie Evans and Zaylea Dyer on November 15, 1927, in Telico, Texas. She was the third of seven children. She married Mr. Horace Lang, on June 15, 1943, together they raised three daughters.
Remanther’s career consisted of working as a licensed beautician and cashier. Her hobbies included upholstery and being a seamstress. She loved the word of God and sharing it with all who would listen. Remanther became Pastor of Sanctuary Liberty Holiness Church and then later became Pastor of Mission Tabernacle House of Prayer Holiness Church, until her passing.
On October 2, 2016, she passed from life to eternity. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Lang on August 3, 2016; and her siblings, Willie (Sonny) Evans, Jessie Mae Henry and Verdee Lang.
Remanther was part of the glue that held the family together. Her memory will be cherished by her daughters, Odessa Bush of Moreno Valley, California, Jacquelyn Powell (Landis) of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Senetra Mitchell of Dallas, Texas; siblings, Dorothy Sublet of Mesquite, Texas, Alex Evans of Dallas, Texas, and Mary Lee Lindsay of Dallas, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
