Robert Richardson Sr.

Robert Charles Richardson, Sr. was born on February 25, 1934 in Dallas, Texas . He was the beloved son of the late Marcelus Richardson and Mardella Dorsey; he was the second of six children. On Monday, March 21, 2016, Robert departed his earthly home to take rest in his heavenly home.
In his teenage years, Robert reside in Dallas and was raised by Lucille Banks and Uncle Matt. After attending Booker T. Washington High School, Robert immediately entered the workforce as a truck driver; with a career that span of 35 years. He was employed with various trucking companies; ie., Yellow Freight, Texas Express, and eventually retiring from Campbell 66. Robert was a great provider.
Robert accepted Christ into his life and was a faithful member of Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a part of the Senior Ministry. Robert was also a member of a quartet; as music was one of his loves; he often played the harmonica for his grandchildren.
Robert was devoted and loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. Though he is no longer physically with us, his loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Robert had 1 sister; Shirley Oden, who preceded him in death.
Robert "Sonny Boy", Daddy, Pawpaw, leaves to cherish his memories; The love of his life Georgia Wilson. 4 children; Robert Richardson, Jr. Darryl Richardson (Cynthia), Kay Edwards (Tyrone), Jacqueline Tyner. 12 grandchildren; Queinnise, Eric, Dhyana, Keelan, Darilyn, Rodnecia, Marcus, Roderick, Danial, Samuel, Alexander, Akeelan. 7 great grand children; Navelle, Kaylisha, Ayanna, Parker, Langston, Nile, Makayla. 4 sisters; Tommie Lee (Dallas); Lavern Thompson, Annie McCorvey, Lois Goss (all of California). 1 aunt; Ernestine Gillis, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
