Robert Wendell Sneed was born to Junious Sneed and Safatie Sneed on
March 15, 1928 in Marshall, Texas. The Lord called him home on September 20, 2014.
He was one of nine siblings, seven sisters and one brother. At an early age he united
and was baptized at Galilee Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas. Upon moving to
Dallas, he worshipped and served with other church affiliations, but later united with
St. Luke "Community" United Methodist Church where he remained an active and
faithful member until his health failed. He was recently honored as a Senior Saints of
Wisdom 2014, he was active in the Caregivers Ministry and Keenagers Ministry.
Robert attended H.B. Pemberton High School and upon graduation he attended
Barber College in Marshall, TX. He later moved to Dallas, TX and began working for
Jas K. Wilson as a tailor for 44 years; he continued his profession as a tailor with Sears
& Roebuck for 20 years and after sewing his last hem, he decided to retire in 1993.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason affiliated with Paul Drayton Lodge #9.
Robert was happiest spending quality time with the love of his life, Mayme Sneed of
56 years. To this union, eight was enough and they were blessed with five boys and
three girls. He loved his family and his loving nature, bright smile and winning
personality will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Robert now joins his wife, Mayme; his parents and all his siblings.

"Robbie" Jones, Kenneth Sneed (Paulette); Robert Sneed, Jr., Michael Sneed, Larry
Sneed all of Dallas, TX; Jerome Sneed, Mesquite, TX and Bernice Melton (Joe); eight
grandchildren, Roukisha Sneed, Jamil Sneed, Jimmy Thomas, Jason Sneed, Marcus
Sneed, Sheniqua Jones, Ashley Pryor (Chaz), Jonathan Melton, Jashona Ward and
Josiah Melton; 15 great grandchildren, Jordan Alford, Zaven Sneed, Xavien Sneed,
Myles Alford, Sasha Wright, Tirika Wright, Jyren Thomas, Elijah Pryor, Malachi Pryor,
Mya Sneed, Da'Kaylyn Sneed, Jonathan Sneed, Arlilia Pryor, Tarik Wright, Jr.,
Markaiden Sneed and a host of relatives and friends that loved him dearly and will
miss him much.
