Ruth Wooten

Ruth Rosemary Conger Wooten was born February 24, 1929, in Quitman, Texas, to parents Curtis Conger and Fessie Conger, who both preceded her in death . She was the sibling of eleven brothers and sisters: Joe David, Albert, Mary Magdalene, Johnnie Maud, Archie, Juanita, Joyce, James Curtis and Arzetta, who all preceded her in death. Her only surviving sibling is Fessie White. Ruth attend school in Quitman, Texas, and later moved to Dallas. Upon moving to Dallas, she gain employment as a housekeeper and also worked as a self-employed barber. She was a devoted wife to three husbands, who all preceded her in death: Eugene Walker Elias (three children were born into this union, with one child, Albert Joe Elias, preceded her in death), Harry Kirvin and A.W. Wooten.

She united with MT. Olive Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, where she remained a faithful member for over 60 years. She gave countless year serving the Lord through her church and helping others in need. She was a long standing trustee for MT. Olive Baptist Church . She spent much of her free time as a volunteer at the Dallas Area Senior Citizens Center.

She leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Rachel Elias Freeman (Eugene), of Desoto, Texas, Richard Elias (Nellie), of Killeen, Texas, Leola Conger Wright (James), of Wylie, Texas, Aundria Elias Heath (Brandon), of Killeen, Texas, Chuquita Elias Whatley, Of Killeen, Texas, Amy Allison Miller (Wayne), of Denton, Texas, Rasheedah Wright, of Oklahoma, Fred Wright, of Florida; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and family.
