Samuel Lee Trotter, known as brother was born to the union of the late Walter Trotter and Rosa Snipes Trotter on July 14, 1939 in Ramer, Alabama.
Samuel confessed Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at an early age in the Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in Ramer, Alabama.
His family relocated to Montgomery, Alabama where he became a member of the Maggie Street Baptist Church. After several churches, he later attended his final church, Friendship Baptist Church in the Colony, Texas.
He attended Booker T. Washington High School and Trade School. He married at an early age. From a young man until late in life he worked in brick masonry. His residence had been in Alabama, Illinois, Washington state and finally Texas. In summation, he was a devoted man who was benevolent, kindhearted, thoughtful and genuine.
He leaves in remembrance a former wife Carolyne Trotter, daughter Roselyne Trotter, daughter Bridgette Barber (Barry), son Samuel Trotter (Barbara), seven grandchildren Anwar, Ayanna, Brandon, Karen, Kevin, Chelsea, Samuel and three great grandchildren Sekou, Chase and Cadence.
He also has left in remembrance a number of siblings: Rose Long, Ann Fricks, Dr. Winston Trotter(Diann), Dr. Dreyfus Trotter, Havard Trotter, Michael Trotter, Clifford Trotter (Debbie) and a collection of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends. Joan Clayton, Walter Trotter, Rubye Harrison, Mamie Durham, and Juanita Trotter have all preceded him in homegoing.
