Sandra Ann Johnson Roston, AKA "Sandra Ann", "Sandi", "Skeeter", 72, was born on October 10,1948. She was the first of eleven children of Reverend William Johnson Jr. and the late Lily Mae Johnson. Sandi loved growing up in a large family.
Sandi lived a long, happy life and died peacefully at Charlton Methodist Hospital of brain cancer with her husband by her side on October 11, 2020.
Sandi met the love of her life Willie Lee Roston in 1976 in Austin Texas. They spent 42 years of marriage filled with happiness, love, and devotion. Sandi loved life and her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was caring, kind, and never met a stranger.
Sandi accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at a very early age. She believed in giving God Praise. Sandi was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. She assisted teaching the youth Sunday School Class, and sang in the choir.
Sandi worked hard all her life and retired from American Airlines. Upon retiring she picked up the love of shopping at the Thrift Store and Dollar Tree. Sandi just loved finding a good bargain and would buy it just because it was on sale. Her husband considered her a hoarder. Sandi spent lots of her time couponing and scrapbooking. She loved traveling and cruising the world as evidenced by her 14 cruises traveling to Alaska, Australia, the South Pacific, Mexico, and to many others to mention.
Sandi was preceded in death by her mother Lily Mae Johnson; brother William Johnson; brother William Gerald Johnson; sister Robena Johnson and grandson Devon Eugene Johnson
Sandi is survived by her husband Willie Lee Roston, Seagoville, TX; children Teandra Rochell Johnson (Phillip Dixon) Dallas, Tx; Christopher Johnson (Amy Brown) Amarillo, Tx; grandchildren Deandra Ray, Alexis Jennings, Kelsee Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Lincoln Johnson; silblings James Ellis Johnson, Amarillo, Tx; Norma Lynn Brunt (Bill) Fairfield, Tx; Merry Joy Byer(Louis) Memphis Tn; Robert Earl Johnson (DeeDee) San Antoino, Tx; Johnny Ray Johnson (Dawn) Amarillo, Tx; Randy Wayne Johnson, Dimmit, Tx; Michael Johnson (Fiance' Kelly Hughes) Wichita Falls, Tx ; Michelle Johnson (John) Lancaster, TX; stepdaughter Valarie Gant (Dana) Arlington,TX; dear friends Charlie Gant Sr. (Ernestine); Lynn Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
