Sarah Elizabeth Miller, born April 1, 1925 in Brandon, Hill County, Texas, was the oldest surviving child born to Calvin Raymond and Annie Aldridge Miller. Educated in the public schools of Hillsboro, she moved to Dallas while a teen and entered the work world. A seamstress, she retired from Neiman Marcus.
On January 21, 1972, she married Audry Rand. No children were born to this union.
Mrs. Rand peacefully departed this life after a brief illness in the early morning hours of February 3, 2014, at Methodist Hospital of Dallas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother George Calvin, and two sisters, Lillie Louise Broadus and Frenchie Mae Miller.
Sarah is survived by two brothers, Raymond (Lady Jean) and Daniel (Jeanette), a special nephew and neice, Charles Davis (Nettie) and Terry Miller, Sandra (Henry) Jennings, six additional nephews and nieces, and an extended family of relatives and friends who will miss her greatly.
