Shelia Portley was born to the union of Fannie & Robert Boughton on July 30th, 1965 in Oak Ridge, Louisiana.
She confessed her love for Christ & spent her days spreading the word of Jesus.
She was the first lady, alongside her husband "Pastor Ray Portley" of Holy Self Denial Church.
Their union of love and marriage was on October 15th, 2001. They spent many beautiful years together nourishing their families.
Teaching the word of the Lord, making a difference in their community, & building a positive image of love.
Shelia was a dedicated mother first and foremost.
She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.
She worked endlessly to provide a life for them that would guide them into adulthood.
She also loved her role as grandmother. She made sure they felt her love & spoiled them every chance she got.
Shelia took pride in taking care of others, which led her into the medical field of nursing.
She was passionate about each position she held, touching the lives of each patient.
She always went above and beyond to ensure every task at hand was completed.
Shelia life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, ???
She was a strong woman with love in her heart. She wanted everyone to love the Lord, as she did.
Anyone who knew Shelia has a positive moment to hold on to. Her smile, laugh, her dedication, & love will be cherished forever.
On May 21st, 2021 Shelia Portley made her transition from labor to reward. Shelia is survived & remembered in love by her husband, Ray Portley. Her sister, Pamela Woodard.
Her children; Brandon Lee, Quinten Lee, Eric Lee, Christopher Lee (Alexandria Lee), Jjibril Jackson.
Three grandchildren, Jordan Lee, Jerimaiah Lee, & Zachary Lee. As well as, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
