Theodore Sanders, Sr. was born November 29, 1925 and passed away peacefully at his home in Dallas, Texas on Monday morning December 16, 2013.
Theodore began his journey as the second child of two children to Willard Sanders and Violet Starr, in Coffeyville, Oklahoma. As an adult, he enlisted in the United States Navy in 1944 and served for three years. After relocating to Dallas, Theodore met John Archie Bramblett, married in May of 1948 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Through this union were born four children. He accepted Christ and joined the Adult Usher Board.
He worked for Sears Roebucks in construction for 10 years and then after his family started to increase, he landed a career job at Southern Bell Telephone Company aka AT&T for 48 years. After retiring, he enjoyed working on cars, being a handy man, and traveling.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, sisters: Dorothy (Dallas), Jean and Billie (California), and granddaughter Kimana Langrum (Dallas).
He will forever be remembered by his loving wife, his son, Theodore Jr. (Vanessa), three daughters; Grace Patricia Ann Christian, Brenda Joyce Porter and Mary Ella Sanders (All of Dallas); five grandchildren, James Earl Christian III, Melanya Langrum-Thomas, Tricia Marquett Christian, Kimesha Roshell Sanders, and Theondra Williams; seven great-grandchildren (All of Dallas). He also leaves, one sister: Irene Kelly (Modesto, California), brother-in-law Elmo Ognes, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Theodore touched the lives of many people and loved being with his family.
