Mr. Tommy Frizzell
December 20, 1947 — December 17, 2014
Tommy Marlow Frizzell, better known to his shipmates as Tex, sailed home to meet his Heavenly Father on December 17th, 2014 at the North Texas VA Hospital in Dallas, TX.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Dolly Frizzell; daughter, Dovie Frizzell; son, Raymund Frizzell; sister, Joan Frizzell-Estes; friends and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Ma rlow and Edith Frizzell of Arlington, TX.
Tommy was born on December 20, 1947 in Tyler, Texas. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas and served as a P.O.2 in the US Navy where he was stationed at the Naval Ammunition Depot in Hawaii and served aboard the USS Juneau. His hobbies included photography and HAM radio and his handle was WA5MEC. He had a tremendous love for animals and enjoyed camping, climbing waterfalls, surfing and SCUBA diving.
