Troy Lee Lewis was born March 3, 1947, in Gilmer Texas to the late Madison Barney Lewis and Roberta Lewis. He was raised in Upshur County where he also attended public school. At an early age, he accepted Christ and remained a faithful servant until his health impaired and was received in the arms of his Savior on November 30, 2021.

He moved to Dallas and later untitled with the Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Board on the Brotherhood Ministry under the pastorate of the late Rev. Hose T. Epps, and later Rev. Corey Jackson. He retired from Coca Cola, in Dallas, Texas.

Brother Lewis was preceded in death by, his parents, one brother Dan M. Brooks, two sisters Rosie Lee Williams and Operazine Cook. He leaves to cherish the memories; his two daughters Veronica Starling Abron of Longview, Texas, Cherrette Lewis of Clarksville, Texas, one son Eric Wayne Lewis of McKinney, Texas and one stepson Kendrick Knight and, 1 special sister; Bettye J. Turner, one niece Tawana Newhouse of Dallas, Texas. And a host of grandchildren and other family and friends.
