Obituary

Vera Faye Smith, our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother was born the twelfth child to Levoid and Lovie Huckaby on June 15, 1941 in Marlin, TX. Both parents and siblings preceded her in death. Faye learned about the Lord at a very early age and continued to worship God throughout her life and became a member of New Solomon Baptist Church.

Faye moved to Dallas, TX where she received her formal Education from Madison High School.

On November 22, 2020, Faye passed away holding the Lords hand at the

,        age of 79. Faye cared deeply for her family and friends she did this out of love, not obligation, but because of whom she was, a loving person.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Son Eddie L Jones Jr., daughter Cynthia A. Tipton, son-in-law Charles R. Tipton; three grandchildren Ronnie

E. Tipton, Edwan L. Jones Sr., Anthony L. Jones Sr.; six great grandchildren Romel, Tristian, Aniya, Edwan Jr., Anthony Jr., and Aysia; and a host of relatives and Friends.

Faith is like a candle flame, a glow that keeps us strong, and faith is there to see us through when things seem to go wrong. Life's not always easy, we're bound to have some sorrow, but faith can help to get us through, to a better day, tomorrow. So when you burn this candle, and you see it's steadily light, remember that your faith will help make dark days seem brighter.
