Vernon Sam entered this life on September 17, 1939 and transitioned to his heavenly home, February 12, 2015. Visitation will be 10am-6pm today. His home-going celebration of life will be 11am Wednesday, February 18, 2015 both to be held at Lincoln Funeral Home Chapel, 8100 Fireside Drive, Dallas, Texas 75217.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Fred and Virginia Jackson, Father Nathaniel Hunt, stepfather David Noah and mother Erma Lee Noah. Left to cherish his memory are his Aunt, Anna Ruth Jackson, 2 sons, Kenneth Graves, (Susan) and Vernon Sam Hunt, Jr. Two grandsons, Kenneth Graves, Jr., and Kendric Graves, one granddaughter, Bria Graves, Special Cousins - Marshall Fred Jackson (Rachelle), Debra Hurndon (James), Harold Jackson, Jr. Special Friends - Rita Lawrence, Dixie Woodard, Lurlean Lacy and a host of friends, who knew him as Blade.
