Wilford Jerome "Jackie" Jackson was born on August 20, 1949 to Wilford and Ora D. Jackson in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was the eldest of six children.
Wilford graduated from 33rd Avenue High School in Gulfport, Mississippi. He relocated to Texas, and later united in matrimony to Mary Ann Malone on May 5, 1975. He worked in the oil industry for 16 years and retired from the U.S. Post Office after 22 years of service.
More than anything, Wilford will be missed for his kind spirit and devotion to his family.
Wilford was preceeded in death by his father, Wilford Jackson, Sr., sister Trudy and son Wilford Jackson III.
Wilford leaves to cherish his memories: his mother Ora Jackson; his wife Mary Jackson; sons Johnny Jackson and Adrian Jackson (Bobbie); two daughters Patricia Giddings (Bishop) and Gwendolyn Jackson; two sisters Barbara Ann Hollemon (Archie), Melonie Bowie (Clyde); two brothers Marion (Renay), Allen (Tanya); eleven grandchildren and a host of other relatives, friends and associates.
