Willie Bob Manning was born in Smith County, Tyler, Texas
on Sept. 12, 1922.
At an early age, she joined Dale Chapel Baptist Church. She married and had a son, Willie Ray Hamilton, who preceded her in death.
Her career consisted of the culinary arts, She retired from Dallas Country Day School and later retired from the Texas A&M Expanded Nutrition Program.
After moving to Dallas, she became a member of Peoples Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the senior choir and served as president. She was a faithful member, until her health began to fail.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Wanda Manning; two sisters, Essie M. Porter and Helen M. Slater; two grandsons; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
