Willie Andrew Robinson

Willie Andrew Robinson was born August 7, 1942, to the parents of Eddie and Dessie Robinson in McGregor, Texas. He was the fifth child out of eight children. He received his education at Lincoln High School in DISD prior to enlisting in the United States Army. Willie received several commendations while serving our country during the Vietnam War. He later retired from 7-Up Bottling Company where he served in a leadership role.

Willie was a staple for our family unit, demonstrating humility, love, compassion and possessed a humble spirit.

Willie was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Robinson, both parents, Eddie and Dessie Robinson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Dan Carter, Manuel Carter, Eddy Robinson, and George Robinson; along with his sisters Beulah Allen and Nellie Sims. 

Those continuing his memories are, daughter, Demetria Williams, three grandsons Jamarion Tuggar, Travin Williams, and Jerry Williams, Jr. (two bonus granddaughters; Katrina and Shemicka Lewis), nineteen grandchildren. One sister Leatha Kinner, one sister-in-law Jean Carter, one bother-in-law James Bell, God-brothers John L Norman, and Tony Salazar.
