Willie Mae Smith

Willie Mae Caraway Smith was born in Timpson, TX to the parentage of Dole & Elnora Caraway September 28, 1928. She received her education at Timpson Schools.

Willie Mae moved to Dallas where she met and married C.W. Smith. They united with the Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she was faithful member over 50 years. She served on the Sr. usher board also work with the Jr. usher board and culinary committee. Willie Mae loved her church and was always willing to work where needed. She was a member of the Cummings Center Senior Citizen Club. She loved cooking & spending time with family. She was employed in the food service department at Sarah Zumwalt Jr. High School Dallas ISD until she retired.

Willie Mae departed life on March 14th, 2025. She was proceeded in death by her parents Dole & Elnora Caraway. Husband C.W. Smith, Daughter: D’lora Eatmon, Sister: Francis Caraway, Brothers: Andrew, Arthur, Joe, Herman Caraway. Grandson: Barry Hughes, Great grandson: Eric Cooper.

She leaves to cherish her memory- Sister: Alice Caraway Wonder, Daughter: Gloria Sparks, Grandson: Kenneth Hughes, Grands: Nkenge Swindle, Reginald Sparks, Shonte Sparks, Brother-in law: Curtis Smith (Marie), Sister-in-law: Doris Caraway- Dallas, TX , Sister-in-law: Maryann Briscoe (Leonard) Pontiac Michigan and a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
